When they arrived in Florida, they found a house in Sarasota County that was owned by Brian’s parents. In the backyard of their home, Brian’s parents had a collection of baseball hats. A Darth Vader helmet and a patriotic gun decorated with stars and stripes were also there.

While the two were traveling, they had several fights. It appears that Gabby was anxious, and Brian had a lot of OCD. He had a hard time falling asleep because of the voices. And he didn’t want people near the campsite.

The two ended up at a garden center and Brian pulled Gabby into an awkward kiss. But he didn’t talk to her when he got home. Instead, he added breakup songs to his Spotify playlist. At first, he was going to keep her at his parents’ property, but then he decided to take her back to his parents’ place in North Port.

On August 29, Brian hitchhiked alone. On September 17, he was reported missing. According to Newsweek, Brian and Gabby had left for Arches National Park on July 2. However, they were still missing when they were picked up by law enforcement. Later, it was discovered that Brian was the one responsible for the death of Gabby.

The FBI ruled that Brian was the perpetrator of Gabby’s death. They also stated that Gabby’s body had lain in the wild for at least three or four weeks. So, the investigation into her death was ongoing until January 21, 2022.
