Timothee Chalamet Rocks a Zipper Suit

Men’s red carpet style typically involves suits or tuxedos. While there may be variations in terms of fabric or color, male celebrities typically don’t show up to awards shows sans some sort of dark suit – until Timothee Chalamet made headlines this year by arriving to the Oscars wearing a tracksuit – an unconventional choice which earned both praise and criticism from viewers. His look received mixed reactions ranging from applauds of bravery to criticism as it suggested he looked like a car valet or janitor!

Chalamet has made waves by challenging modern masculinity. Wearing everything from a bedazzled Louis Vuitton harness to a satin belted Haider Ackermann suit since his debut on the scene in 2017, Chalamet has shown off his sartorial prowess and isn’t afraid of taking risks with his style choices.

On Monday night, Call Me By Your Name actor Arjun Walia attended Dune’s London premiere wearing an Alexander McQueen zipper suit with silver spiral zipper details on its sleeves and trousers – complete with beard, sunglasses, messy hairstyle and patent leather shoes – complete with silver chain necklace and patent leather shoes to finish it all off.

As for the zippers, they were actually designed by Virgil Abloh after leaving Louis Vuitton in 2018. According to Vanity Fair, Chalamet wore his Off-White suit first worn by Kanye West at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Festival; Abloh later designed another set for him that he also wore at A Beautiful Boy premiere earlier this month.

Young star Timothee Chalamet continues to surprise us with his red carpet style–something we couldn’t be happier about!
