Telluride, Colorado, is one of Colorado’s most picturesque towns, nestled within a beautiful box canyon and framed by its surrounding San Juan mountains. A popular skiing destination and haven for outdoor adventurers alike, Telluride offers unparalleled opportunities for skiing, mountain biking, hiking, climbing and simply taking in its scenery and fresh mountain air – creating an experience you won’t forget.

The Telluride Mountain Club specializes in supporting outdoor recreation throughout its service region and helping its members maximize their membership privileges and benefits. Their mission is to offer premium amenities and programs to enhance members’ lifestyles while contributing to local communities and supporting outdoor organizations. TMtC boasts a longstanding history of community service; one initiative such as their free public avalanche education classes illustrate this commitment to outdoor life.

Pete Inglis founded the Telluride Mountain Club (TMtC) in 1986 to foster avalanche safety education and enhance Telluride’s unique and challenging terrain development. Today, this organization plays an essential role in its community by advocating safe skiing and riding across San Juan Mountains.

Today, the TMtC is an active member-owned organization offering an impressive variety of benefits and services to its membership. One of its most appealing benefits is access to Telluride’s world-famous ski resort with its diverse terrain and breathtaking views; plus other on-mountain facilities plus many exciting winter and summer activities and experiences that await.

One of the TMtC’s defining characteristics is its iconic logo, which can be found on all its apparel and souvenirs sold at its exclusive Telluride Resort Store on Gondola Plaza in Mountain Village. You’ll find ball caps, T-shirts, sweatshirts, pint glasses, travel mugs, stickers, blankets and leashes for dogs as well as posters bearing its emblematic image all emblazoned with Telluride’s emblematic seal!

Beyond its vast on-mountain activities, TMtC also supports various outdoor adventures through its Heli-ski program. Partnered with Xtreme Colorado Heliskiing Services, this partnership allows advanced-intermediate to expert skiers and snowboarders the opportunity to ski/snowboard some of North America’s most incredible terrain. In addition, TMtC supports local adaptive Sports groups and USFS by targeting outdoor enthusiasts with trail etiquette/stewardship messaging such as “toilet paper is trash, pack it out”/ “share the trails leave no trace”.
