Sandra Beltran

Sandra Beltran was arrested in September 2007. She was charged with organized criminality and conspiracy to traffic in drugs. Media called her “La Reina del Pacfico” and she is currently in Mexico. She faces life in prison if convicted. Her trial is set to begin in February 2008.

Sandra Beltran was born in Mexico in 1960. She is a member the Beltran family and her parents hail from Baja California. As a teenager, she was kidnapped and was raised in the drug industry. She rose through the ranks of the drug industry, becoming one of the most important figures in Mexico’s drug trade. She was a skilled horseback rider and sharpshooter, and she became a socialite in the drug industry.

Sandra Avila Beltran is one of the most famous and infamous figures in Mexican organized crime. She is believed to have been the go-between major drug trafficking organizations in Mexico and the United States. She was arrested in September 2007 and charged with organized crime and conspiracy to traffic drugs. Although she served time in prison for her crimes, she continued to make millions of dollars through her drug trade.

Sandra Avila Beltran was conceived in Mexicali (Baja California) on 11 October 1960. She was a member of the Norte del Valle Cartel and the Sinaloa Cartel. The media called her “La Reina del Pacifico”. In 2007, she was arrested and charged with drug trafficking, conspiracy to traffic drugs and possession of illegal weapons. She was then extradited to the United States.

Although she pleaded guilty for being an accessory after-the fact to a Colombian drug lord to Beltran, Beltran still lived a glamorous lifestyle. She rose to the top in Mexico’s macho drugs world. She could spend up to 15 years prison. Beltran’s sentence will be decided at the trial.

After graduating from University of San Francisco School of Law, Ms. Beltran worked at a plaintiff’s employment law firm, where she focused on employment discrimination and sexual harassment claims. She also served as a volunteer at the Katherine and George Alexander Community Law Center, San Jose, California. There she assisted individuals from underserved areas to obtain legal assistance. She also interned at the United States Department of Labor.

Drug lords often look up to celebrities, such as rock stars or athletes. In Mexico, they are often looked up to as heroes. Some look up to them as athletes or rock stars. These celebrities are often portrayed as the next big thing by drug lords.
