Renee Elise Goldsberry is an exquisite triple threat, boasting a career spanning Broadway, film and television. First capturing global audiences through her incredible performance as Angelica Schuyler in Hamilton (which became an instant cultural touchstone), Renee also co-stars on CBS drama The Good Wife where she has received accolades for her sensitive portrayals of female characters as well as being an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ rights – making sure diversity into her roles on screen!

Goldsberry has already garnered multiple Tony Awards, Grammy nominations and Drama Desk awards – as well as being nominated for two Oscars! She continues to dazzle audiences both big and small screens alike. Goldsberry played a pivotal supporting role on Broadway’s closing company of Rent, was part of Disney’s original cast for The Lion King on Broadway as well as receiving critical acclaim off-Broadway for Two Gentlemen of Verona and Sylvia at Shakespeare in the Park.

Filmography-wise, she has earned critical acclaim through various critically-acclaimed projects such as American Sniper. Additionally, she voiced Descendants 2 and will feature on the soundtrack of upcoming Marvel Studios film Captain America: Civil War.

Goldsberry will next appear in Tina Fey’s Peacock series Girls5Eva for Peacock TV, portraying Wickie Roy – an over-the-top, self-absorbed diva who becomes part of an all-girl band from the 1990s, trying to regain stardom after its failure. Goldsberry excelled in this role, adeptly striking the balance between vulnerable and over-the-top while managing to push her character past bimbo stereotypes.

The Costume Institute Gala (commonly referred to as the Met Gala) is the fashion equivalent of Super Bowl.
