Within his first year under center for Kansas City Chiefs he led them all the way to AFC Championship Game while becoming league’s Most Valuable Player.
Mahomes has garnered numerous honors during his career. He was named an AP All-Pro three times and twice named to PFWA All-AFC teams; additionally he has received multiple FedEx Air Player of the Week honors; additionally being selected to the Pro Bowl after each of his first four seasons.
Mahomes has been actively engaged in charity work and causes during his off-season. Together with his wife Brittany, they run a foundation that assists children who live in underserved communities or suffer from chronic illness or injury. Recently, Mahomes initiated a project to aid veterans. Working alongside a non-profit organization, he is developing transitional housing for homeless veterans living near Kansas City.
