Nikki Bella Neck Injury

Nikki Bella’s Neck Injury Could Be Career-Ending

Nikki Bella is one of the greatest wrestlers in WWE history and, despite her neck injury, she hasn’t given up on the ring yet. The WWE Divas Champion was last seen at SummerSlam when she made an unexpected appearance as Eva Marie’s replacement in a six-woman tag team match.

At WrestleMania 32, she had a singles match against Ronda Rousey to claim the Raw Women’s Championship. This showcased how the WWE is revolutionizing how they conduct matches.

Nikki Bella had been sidelined since late 2015 due to a neck injury, but it appears she will be returning sooner than anticipated. In an interview with E!, the star revealed that she will undergo bone fusion surgery this Wednesday.

Thankfully, her surgery should be a relatively quick procedure. To remain positive in the days leading up to her procedure, she’s staying positive.

If you want to see Nikki in action, she’s still working hard outside the wrestling world. She currently stars on E!’s Total Divas and is married to professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev; they also have a baby son together.

As a former WWE Divas Champion, Bella is widely considered the most popular female Superstar in company history. Along with her sister Brie, she was one of the biggest stars in women’s wrestling from 2008-2014. Twice winning the Diva’s Championship, Bella held it for 301 days.

In her memoir Incomparable, she shed light on how WWE mismanaged her injuries and failed to provide assistance when she asked for it.

In her book, she detailed how her C6 and C7 vertebrae were pressing against her spinal cord, causing pain in her neck and impairing performance.

Her neck pain had become unbearable, eventually impairing her mobility. Fearful that she might need to undergo potentially career-ending neck surgery, she sought out a local orthopedic surgeon.

Although Bella has experienced a major setback, she continues to prove everyone wrong. At SummerSlam in August, she returned to the ring and showed everyone she was fully recovered.

This may be her last major appearance in WWE, but it appears she remains one of its most beloved and talented performers. While it’s unfortunate that she had to retire so soon after starting her ring career, her legacy will endure long after.

She’s found success outside the wrestling ring, having starred in multiple reality television shows and is currently working on a four-part documentary series about her wedding day.

Her story serves as a testament to the evolving landscape of women’s wrestling and how it’s impacting how fans perceive it. She’s become an inspiring role model, helping transform how mainstream audiences view women’s wrestling.
