Lisa Pierzynski

Although she wasn’t the most popular WWE wrestler in 2006 (although she was), Lisa Pierzynski has been part of the wrestling community since over two decades. She is a former Miss USA and is currently the face of the WWE’s NXT brand. Pierzynski is a blonde with a strong build. She grew up in Florida, with her husband and their children. Pierzynski, despite being a bachelorette was an influence figure for her husband-to be and even took his number.

In 2005, Pierzynski hit eighteen home runs, including four in the ALDS against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Both teams wore throwback jerseys from 1959 during the game. Pierzynski played a key role in the White Sox’s 2005 World Series win and helped to win the AL Central. She scored the game’s sole run in the ALCS, her second career home run.

Pierzynski graduated from high school and signed a letter of intent for the University of Tennessee. She was selected by the Minnesota Twins in the third round of 1994 MLB Draft. She signed with the team on June 9, 1994 and began her minor league career with the Elizabethton Twins. She later went on to play for the Fort Wayne Wizards, the Fort Myers Miracle, the New Britain Rock Cats, and the Salt Lake Buzz.

In January 2015, the Atlanta Braves signed Pierzynski to a one-year contract with the club. Her primary role was to be Christian Bethancourt’s mentor and backup catcher. She was eventually forced to take over the starting position when a trade brought in a new player. Her most notable moment was her catch of Jon Lester’s no-hit bid against the Chicago Cubs on August 3, 2015.
