Kobe Bryant Seat Covers
As Kobe Bryant prepared to request a trade from the Los Angeles Lakers in the summer of 2007, he was working out at UC Irvine about 10 miles from El Segundo. Anthony Katz approached Kobe and demonstrated an innovative design for ice wraps worn on legs that could help players ice knees more efficiently without using leaky plastic bags or bandages.
Bryant took a liking to Katz’s idea and agreed to test several prototypes of Hyperice over several years, working closely together on its designs for improvement – now used by hundreds of NBA players after games as well as training rooms, airplanes and hotel suites worldwide. They would discuss ideas late into the night often texting solutions during Quentin Tarantino movies!
Bryant has also launched other products through his company that were tailored to his needs when he departed professional basketball, such as a portable shower head, ankle massager and hydration backpack – products which have proven popular with pro players looking to treat injuries or prevent further ones. These have all proven invaluable.
