How Did Taylor Strauss Die?

A 26-year-old from Cleveland, Ohio was an accomplished athlete and avid snowboarder known for her charming smile and cheery demeanour that brightened any room she entered. Family and friends were deeply affected by her untimely death in a car accident; McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home issued her obituary that described her infectious laughter and infectious personality as being among her greatest attributes; traveling all across America was something she greatly desired to do one day as part of her ultimate goal of seeing the whole world one day – something she dreamt of doing one day before death in an auto accident;

Taylor died tragically on January 18 in a parking garage in Columbus, Ohio. Security footage captured her dropping her card to pay for parking as she exited her vehicle, then accidentally accelerating while trying to retrieve it. As she attempted to retrieve her card she became stuck between the front of her vehicle and the payment machine causing both trauma and mechanical asphyxia; ultimately leading her to being transported to hospital and being later declared deceased.

Erin’s cause of death was blunt force trauma to her head and mechanical asphyxia; no drugs or signs of alcohol consumption were present in her system, and no preexisting health issues could have contributed to her demise. Erin was beloved daughter of Todd and Tina Strauss; treasured sister to Alayna and Gavin; granddaughter of Ronald and Doris (nee Kitt) Longstreet and great-grandniece to Rudy Strauss.

Taylor was an exceptional student at Riverside High School and Ohio University, participating in 4-H Reins and Ribbons and being part of Ohio University Equestrian Team as well as serving her neighborhood pet walkers/sitters/walkers and dog walkers with pride. She was known to many friends for being kind and thoughtful – she made travel her life goal!

She loved taking road trips across the U.S. and visiting national, state and local parks; as an animal lover she especially cherished taking care of neighborhood pets; her bright smile and charisma added much joy and laughter into lives of everyone around her – she was an exceptional sister, niece, daughter cousin friend.

She will be greatly missed by those of us fortunate enough to know her, as she was an immense source of happiness in our lives and we will forever hold dear the memories we share of her. May her soul rest in peace.
