Harry Styles Debuts New Songs at Coachella

Harry Styles first rose to fame as part of boy band One Direction. Since their disbandment in 2016, however, he has established himself as a solo artist through his debut self-titled album and subsequent singles “Sign of the Times” and “Watermelon Sugar.”

“Late Night Talking,” his latest addition to his catalogue, made its first debut performance at Coachella last Friday during his inaugural headline set of the festival. Additionally, during this set he performed two Shania Twain songs such as her hits “Man! I Feel Like a Woman” and “Still the One”.

Styles is known for his musical talents but also has created the Pleasing brand of fashion, which supports environmental sustainability with products like skincare, nail polishes and lounge wear. He has also designed his own line of scented candles which are available through The Pleasing Shop perfume boutique.

Styles was born on February 1 in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire England to Anne Twist and Desmond Styles who both worked in finance. After an unsuccessful audition period with various talent shows during his adolescence, Styles joined British boy band One Direction’s debut album Up All Night quickly becoming popular across both markets; at 17 he even become one of history’s youngest chart-topping artists with its success.

One of the band’s most memorable performances during its era was during the 2012 Summer Olympics when they performed before an audience composed entirely of service members stationed at the US Embassy in London, an event livestreamed online and viewed by millions worldwide. Subsequently, Midnight Memories, Four and Made in the A.M all charted high on Billboard 200 charts while earning Grammy nominations respectively.

Following One Direction’s hiatus, Styles launched his solo music career. In 2017, his debut album Harry Styles debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 chart and produced hit singles “Sign of the Times” or “Watermelon Sugar.” Two albums later, Fine Line placed third and earned Styles a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Album in 2021.

Styles has made an equally notable name for himself in acting, earning critical acclaim with critically-acclaimed performances on television and in film. Most recently he appeared as a British soldier during World War II in Christopher Nolan’s 2017 war drama Dunkirk, as well as appearing in other movies like Don’t Worry Darling and My Policeman.
