Eric Braeden Could Give Actors Half His Age Run For Their Money

Eric Braeden of The Young and the Restless recently underwent knee replacement surgery. But that hasn’t stopped him from pushing himself – in fact, this 82-year-old actor could easily give actors half his age a run for their money! On social media last weekend he shared an amazing video of himself doing pull ups while leaning on his knees! Check it out below.

Eric Braeden has been an iconic presence on CBS’ The Young and the Restless since 1980, playing Victor Newman – which remains as popular today. Additionally, Braeden has appeared in other movies and TV shows like Titanic, Den of Thieves and The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

He has also done significant charity work. Eric Braeden founded the Eric Braeden Foundation to offer financial support to people in need and to fund Alzheimer’s research efforts.

Braeden recently shared an uplifting video message with fans to thank them for all of their well wishes and acknowledge his strong physical state. In it, he expressed that doctors had cleared him to resume filming Y&R. Additionally, this week was his second immunotherapy treatment session.

His physicians at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles were able to remove cancerous cells from his prostate through a surgical process known as UroLift, which relieves pressure on the urethra. But biopsies revealed there were still high-grade cancer cells near his bladder requiring additional treatments; so now he is currently receiving additional therapy sessions.

Braeden McHugh of Young and Restless was back at work just days after having knee surgery. On Wednesday he posted an update from the set, showing him conversing with castmates. Fans love watching Braeden play his villainous businessman character on Y&R; it’s great that he gets to keep working while recovering.

Hard to believe the actor was hospitalized only a few weeks ago! Now it appears he’s doing much better and we wish for a swift recovery and full return of Victor Newman on the show.
