Comme Des Garcons Tattoo Makeup Collection
It’s no secret that Japanese label Comme des Garcons has a storied history within the fashion world, but they’ve gone a step further and teamed up with MAC to create a limited edition makeup kit that pays tribute to the iconic tattoo. The products are inspired by the Japanese brand’s illustrious owner, Rei Kawakubo, who’s a fan of all things Japanese, including tattoos. A seven-piece kit is available online or at their brick and mortar store on Rue du Faubourg St-Honore. The collection is a nod to the fashion house’s penchant for figurative pieces, and includes a slew of skincare and makeup items that are worthy of being called a cult classic.
The collection has a number of standout products, including a limited-edition skull print tattoo set, the aforementioned M.A.C. x Comme des Garcons makeup kit and a couple of MAC eyeliners. In fact, they’re so good that even the packaging is a work of art. The set itself is made up of three pencils (a red, black, and purple one, for goodness sake) and a few slick black and white liquid liners. Despite the hefty price tag, the set is well worth the cash.
