Circle of the Moon – A Castlevania Game With a Twist
Castlevania games typically feature 2D platforming with a continuous map, a system of magic, experience points, and equipment. Often times, the game also has a boss that you need to beat to get more experience or equipment.
Every newer Castlevania game has some sort of special mechanic or system that gives you a different way to play. This can be anything from a high level of luck to item and card hunting or even strength, defense, and magic combinations.
In Circle of the Moon, Konami was trying something entirely new, a game that took the standard Castlevania formula and put a twist on it by adding a unique ability system called the Dual Skill System. Using the DSS, you can infuse your whip with a variety of elemental abilities that will make it much easier to take down enemies.
The best part about this system is that it makes your standard whip a more versatile weapon than ever before, allowing you to do things like petrify enemies, time-limited platforms to move around higher areas, and teleporting enemies to the other side of the arena. It is a very useful system, especially in conjunction with the other new abilities you can learn.
It takes a few levels to figure out how to use this system, but once you have the hang of it you will be able to do amazing things with your whip!
One thing to be aware of is that this system can be a pain, especially when it comes to beating the bosses. For example, the Hydras in the first boss area can be very hard to fight, as they spit fire and lightning at you.
Another tough battle is the Devil in the second boss area, which is a single-headed reptile that can attack in multiple ways and requires patience to beat. Its multiple health bars can make it difficult to keep up with and its multiple projectile attacks can be a real pain.
Lastly, the third and final boss in the game is Argos, who has a lot of power and can be tricky to control. You have to watch out for its teleporting attacks, as well as its wipe attacks that can turn the entire arena into a dark energy field. This can be very frustrating, so you should try to avoid it whenever possible.
Argos is a very interesting character and is an important part of the game. Its attacks have a wide range and a variety of effects, and they are very fast. They can also change the weather in the arena, so it is crucial to take them seriously.
The main thing to remember about the Argos fight is that it’s all about timing. The faster you are, the less damage you’ll take. In addition, it’s a good idea to keep an eye on it because it will periodically teleport to the center of the arena, where it can change the weather.
