Cardi B Seinfeld Hug

Cardi B Gets a Seinfeld Hug On “Between Two Ferns”

This week’s episode of Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis is a nod to one of the hottest trends in entertainment, the millennial craze. The show features pop culture luminaries such as Cardi B, Larry David and Wayne Knight. However, the episode is also an indictment of Seinfeld’s clout in the cultural consciousness department. Regardless, the episode will likely be a hit with viewers.

For a moment in time, it looked like Cardi B was going to crash the party. But as it turns out, she only played a minor role in the episode. It was actually Galifianakis who took the spotlight. While he was interviewing Jerry Seinfeld, Cardi showed up in the flesh midway through the show. In fact, she was the third most important guest to appear on the show. Even if she wasn’t the most memorable guest, she did make the cut for the funniest one.

When Galifianakis walked in the door, Cardi greeted him with a hug. After a few tense moments, she managed to squeeze in an apologia for her behavior. She even gave him a gift, a milk crate. At that point, it was time for her to go.

She had something else in mind, however. Apparently, she was preparing for her own big day, and that meant her time was limited. Not only was she on the clock, but she was on the red carpet, too. Of course, she was going to ask her favorite comic to give her a special mention. Luckily for her, the comedian made her feel extra special. Afterwards, she was given the chance to snag a nice gift for herself, as well as one for her unborn child.

While the roast of the week was a little light on the savage burns, it was certainly a slam dunk for the award for most interesting guest of the show. On the other hand, it is safe to say that the interview with Cardi was the show’s biggest hit. And judging by the comments, it looks like the rest of the audience was impressed too.

The show was also a fun look at the millennial craze, which is all the more reason to watch the eponymous Zach Galifianakis. He had a few amusing moments on the show, including a slam dunk that he was the biggest fan of Larry David’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” Despite that, he remarked that he’s not a huge fan of the Bee Movie. His quip was that the best thing about the Bee Movie is that it isn’t the least interesting one.

Perhaps it’s because Galifianakis has been in the business long enough to know that a good show requires a bit of a backbone. Regardless, the show will no doubt rake in the dough. In the meantime, let’s all celebrate the funniest of the funnies. Hopefully, this will help us all avoid some of the more embarrassing faux pas of the past few years. So, it’s on to the next episode of Between Two Ferns!
