AJ Cook’s Workout Routine
AJ Cook may have an extensive career in acting, but she still finds time to maintain her stunning figure. She is a huge fan of Pilates and running, which helps her to keep up with the hectic schedule she has on the set of Criminal Minds.
She also loves to indulge in some fun outdoor activities with her family, including beach volleyball and riding their bikes. She is even known to enjoy a game of rope skipping!
The Canadian beauty has been a star on TV since 2005, and despite rumors that she was taking a break from the show, she hasn’t slowed down. She’s remained on the show, and is now back with a spinoff called “Criminal Minds: Evolution.”
Aside from acting, she is also involved in philanthropic efforts, such as donating to Wags & Walks, a dog-related charity that aims to raise funds for dogs in shelters. She has a long-standing relationship with the organization, and she has even helped to foster dogs in need.
Her first role was in a commercial for McDonald’s, but her acting career really took off when she starred in the 1999 movie The Virgin Suicides. She followed that up with a starring role in Higher Ground, in which she played Shelby Merrick.
She went on to appear in a number of other television shows, including Vanished and I’m Reed Fish. She also had several roles in films, including In His Father’s Shoes and Elvis Meets Nixon.
Aside from her love for acting, she has a number of hobbies, including dancing and playing the piano. She’s also a proud member of the Mormon faith, and she actively practices her religion.
Born in Oshawa, Canada on July 22, 1978, she is the daughter of Sandra and Michael Cook and was raised with her three siblings Nathan, Paul and Angela. She attended Anderson Collegiate Vocational Institute and graduated from Utah Valley University.
During her college years, she met her husband of 15 years, Nathan Andersen. They married in 2001 and currently live in Los Angeles with their two sons, Mekhai Allan and Phoenix Sky.
As her career has grown, she has become a big advocate for women and their bodies. She’s also a big proponent of embracing healthy eating and exercise.
She is an avid Pilates lover, and she tries to work in some workouts at least three times a week. She also loves to run and spends a lot of her time on the beach, which is where she finds the most time to get her workouts in!
In addition to her active lifestyle, she is also an advocate for healthy skin. She endorses the brand Proactiv+ and uses their cleanser daily.
When she isn’t working, she loves spending time with her family, especially her two adorable sons, and is always willing to try new things. She says that having a child has changed the way she thinks about her body, and that she now views it as something that gives her joy.
