Lisa Brenninkmeyer and Her Husband, Leo, Have Three Sons and Three Grandchildren
Lisa Brenninkmeyer has a long and successful career in the Christian ministry. She was recently named a “National Catholic Leader” by the USCCB and presented her Walking With Purpose model at national conferences. She has also appeared on numerous radio, television, and podcast shows. She holds a B.A. in psychology from St. Olaf College and is currently pursuing her master’s in theology at Franciscan University of Steubenville. She and her husband, Leo, have three sons and three grandchildren.
Brenninkmeyer founded the Walking with Purpose ministry in 2008. The program is now in 37 parishes throughout fifteen dioceses. The goal of the program is to help Catholic women open their hearts to God and build a stronger relationship with Jesus Christ. The program has over 40,000 participants each year. Brenninkmeyer also leads a Walking with Purpose chapter in her parish. She strives to create a welcoming environment for the women in her group.
During the conference, Brenninkmeyer encouraged attendees to join Bible study groups. She also encouraged people to make prayer a part of their everyday lives. She also encouraged people to seek help from professionals. Brenninkmeyer’s program has gotten a lot of recognition in the Catholic Church. She received an award from the Catholic Leadership Institute for her work in the Church.
Brenninkmeyer was raised in an evangelical church and converted to Catholicism before she married her husband. She subsequently worked in Germany and Mexico and led Bible studies. But even though she converted, she never fully grasped the riches of the Catholic Church. She did not fully understand how the Catholic Church could be a blessing for her marriage.
