Is Maluma Going to Be a Dad?
Maluma, the Colombian reggaeton superstar, steps into his studio in Brooklyn surrounded by his team and an attentive Doberman. Wearing a black cape that flails behind him with every movement, Maluma looks every part the Latin music icon he truly is.
Maluma is one of the biggest acts in Latin music, and his shows regularly sell-out. He has topped Billboard Latin Airplay 21 times, scored three number one Billboard Hot Latin Songs, and completed several world tours.
He has collaborated with top artists like Shakira, J Balvin and The Weeknd – among others – making an impressive list of collaborations.
Maluma recently unveiled his latest project: 7 Dias En Jamaica – a conceptual album-film about his visit to Jamaica. Maluma took to Instagram to speak about this work of art that represents “his most complete work yet”.
“Felices Los 4” singer Natalia Barulich posted an Instagram picture kissing him with the caption: “Happy Father’s Day Daddy.”
Maluma was born Juan Luis Londono in Medellin, Colombia and quickly found himself immersed in music as a high school student. Soon thereafter he pursued his musical dreams, quickly rising to prominence with his infectious reggaeton-pop sound and charming bad-boy persona that quickly rose him through the Billboard charts 21 times, garnering him a Grammy nomination, and making appearances at many of the world’s premier venues.
As a philanthropist, Colombian superstar Maluma provides assistance to young people through his Maluma Foundation and has been named a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. Additionally, he acts as mentor and advisor for young Latin artists signed to Sony Music Latin label.
Sony Music Entertainment is home to other musical superstars such as Beyonce, Mariah Carey and Drake – making this label part of an exceptional family.
Maluma’s first two Sony Music Latin signings — pop singer Abril and crooner Daniel Rosas — are poised for breakthrough success. He beams when discussing them, and can’t wait to witness them perform at his Medallo en el Mapa stadium show this fall across 30 US cities – tickets are already on sale now for this performance that follows Papo Juancho Maluma World Tour 2022.
