General Mills Monster Mash Fruit Snacks

General Mills is commemorating the 50th anniversary of monster mash this Halloween by combining elements from all five cereal monsters — Count Chocula, Franken Berry, Boo Berry, Frute Brute and Yummy Mummy — into one giant box. They’re then topped off with ninety fruit snacks shaped like the ghoulish mascots themselves!

Sam’s Club website lists these fruit snacks in a four-pound box, which seems absurd (and, if they’re exclusive to Sam’s Club, might be locked to such an outrageous quantity per box). But at $9.98 a box, they make for good stockpiling items at that price point.

They look and taste just like regular Count Chocula, Franken Berry, Frute Brute and Yummy Mash gummies but with added berry flavors. They look more like grapes than chocolate and are gelatinous instead of liquidy; but it’s an awesome way to commemorate the mascots’ half century of haunting our breakfast tables! Plus if you’re into Spotify then the cereal box features a cover version of “Monster Mash” that sounds pretty creepy!
