Ariella Perlman
New York native Ariella Perlman is an exceptional jewelry designer. Born into an artistic family, she draws her inspiration from her upbringing and extensive world travels. Her unique designs are inspired by traditional Jewish symbols and are both beautiful and wearable. Each piece is handcrafted, unique and features hand-painted details. Her designs range from $15 to $250.
Her parents are avid musicians. She grew up playing the flute, and played with the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra. She also played with the Honolulu Symphony in the spring of 2008. Now, she freelances as a flute player, and she teaches music at a Jewish Montessori school in Houston. She also attended the 50th anniversary celebration of Jones Hall with her parents. During the event, she helped raise more than $1 million for the renewal of Jones Hall.
Rob and Ariella married in the summer of 2008. After the wedding, Ariella converted to Judaism through the Reform movement. She was initially rejected by Rob, but he accepted her invitation after she told him that she needed to marry a Jewish person. They never discussed her Jewishness again.
