Brian Patrick Moore is a politician, founder of the Nature Coast Coalition for Peace & Justice, and the former presidential nominee of the Socialist Party USA. He also ran for the mayor of Washington, D.C. and Florida’s fifth congressional district. But he lost both races.

The Nature Coast Coalition for Peace & Justice is an organization that promotes housing, participatory democracy, and the strengthening of the working class. It also advocates greater employment and reduced military spending. Moore, who has served as a Peace Corps volunteer, worked on infrastructure projects in Panama and Bolivia. His political beliefs include universal health care and democratic public control of the economy. He has been endorsed by the American Socialist Party and is a fervent critic of the U.S.’s involvement in Iraq. In 2008, he ran for president in the Socialist Party USA.

In 2010, he lost the Democratic Party nomination for the governorship of Florida. He later ran again for the mayor of Washington, D.C., and lost to Alex Sink. However, he is free on bond.

Moore has a long history of drug addiction. He worked in the HMO/Managed Care industry for almost 20 years. Before that, he studied at Franciscan Catholic Seminary, then went on to earn a bachelor’s degree at San Luis Rey College in California. After that, he studied at Arizona State University for a master’s degree in public administration. He then worked in the non-profit agency in Peru and Bolivia.

Moore’s relationship with his wife was not good. She said he was physically and emotionally abusive. They had a child together, but their marriage was not the same. On the day of Dianne’s death, they were separated. During that time, she said, he had tried to kill her several times. And he had threatened to divorce her. As a result, she was afraid he would be violent. When she went to the hospital, she thought he was going to quit saying he was abusive.

Dianne Hood was a 32-year-old mother of three. She had been attending a support group for lupus when she was shot in the chest two times. While she was lying on the ground, she was asking for mercy. Her friend, Reali Hood, was wearing a ski mask and was armed. She had confessed to an affair with her.

Several months after the murder, prosecutors announced that they planned to retry Moore. The prosecutor agreed to request the low end of the sentencing range. A retrial was set for Monday. There are 17 records of Moore’s in Colorado Springs. Of these, eight are in the City of Colorado Springs. One of the other nine records is in the Sterling Correctional Facility in Colorado Springs.
