The Mitsubishi Eclipse was overshadowed in 2011 by the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo. Mitsubishi stopped production of the sports car.

Acura Legend is another underrated JDM car. This car has been rebranded the Acura Legend as the 3.5RL, and is one of the most underrated. A variety of Japanese enthusiast vehicles are now making their way to North America thanks to the JDM (Japan Domestic Market). The 90s saw the birth of some of the world’s most iconic Japanese vehicles, including the Nissan Skyline GT-R, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, Subaru Impreza WRX STI, and Nissan Stagea 260RS. As a result, it’s no wonder that JDM has become a hotbed for unusual and innovative vehicles.
