Olivia Newton-John

Olivia Newton-John is an English-born Australian singer. She has achieved five number one singles on the Billboard chart and is the winner of four Grammy awards. Her earliest musical achievements were country in the loosest sense, but her hits began to change when she turned to a more mainstream soft rock sound in the early 1980s.

The first single of her career, “Physical”, spent 10 weeks at the top of the chart during 1981 and 1982. It was a hit in both the U.S. and the UK and became her biggest-selling record of all time.

The following year, she was invited to perform on Cliff Richard’s TV show. They teamed up for a duets album that included songs by Barry Gibb and Chloe Lattanzi. In 1998, she and Cliff Richard toured the United States in a show titled “The Main Event.”

After the success of Grease, which won eight Oscars, including best picture and actress of the year, she started working with Bruce Welch, who was also involved in the film. After the pair became more serious, they were joined by Pat Carroll and Lee Kramer. But, after a brief period, they decided to separate and concentrate on their solo careers.

While Newton-John’s success was mostly restricted to Britain in the early ’70s, her music has since spanned the globe, earning her an Order of the British Empire. And in 2004, she released an album called Indigo: Women of Song. This was her third album, and her fourth to reach the top ten. During her career, she has sold more than a hundred million records.

She later became an environmental activist, and devoted herself to family and business in the late ’80s and ’90s. When she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992, she successfully treated the disease. Now, she has been all clear for over two years.

She has released a variety of albums over the years, and in 2002, she released a CD of her greatest hits. Those hits were featured in a tour during the summer of 1999. Eventually, she signed a contract with MCA-Nashville. A few months later, she released an album that was a reworking of her ’70s image. One of the tracks was a cover of John Denver’s “Take Me Home Country Roads.”

Since her ’70s hits, Olivia Newton-John has released a slew of albums, including Physical, Back with a Heart, and Indigo: Women of Song. These three albums have received a combined total of fifteen Top Ten hits on the charts.

With her success, she is one of the world’s most popular artists. Her best-known hits include “Physical,” “You Have To Believe,” and “Please Mr. Please.”

In addition to her five number ones, she has earned sixteen top ten hits on the country chart. She has starred in the musical Grease, and has won four Grammy awards. As a singer, she has sold more than a hundred and fifty million copies of her albums.
