A DPW Truck is on Fire and Closing a Lane in the Aftermath of a Car Crash
A DPW truck is not only on fire, but has closed down a lane in the process. The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office is handling the case while the DOT gets into the details. As of a recent press conference, the DPW has not identified the driver or the vehicle.
A DPW truck has been involved in a minor crash on Watertown Plank Road. At least three people have been injured in the incident. There were some notable e-waste claims, but no one is sure how many – or what – it was. Among the victims was a 40-year-old man. In a separate incident, a good Samaritan was hit by a driver attempting to help out in the aftermath of a car accident. One patient was hospitalized and two others were treated with minor injuries. Several bystanders were on hand to offer assistance before first responders arrived.
It is a safe bet that a number of motorists will be spending the night in the dark. Police and fire crews have responded to the scene, and are working to clear the way for the first of the day. The DOT has been keeping a close eye on the scene. They will be issuing updates as more information becomes available. While a recursive cycle is underway, it is possible that the DPW might continue down the road if it can’t make it in one piece. This is an unfortunate situation for a number of drivers in this part of town, who have already been impacted by the crash.
There have been dozens of police and fire crews on the scene as of this writing, so the best way to make a bet is to get on a ride with a loved one and stay in the area for the next several hours. On the bright side, this is the best chance for a driver to have a decent night’s sleep in a long time.
