Mark Wahlberg Gets a Hair Transplant

The hype train is chugging along with Mark Wahlberg’s latest film, Father Stu. Besides the movie itself, the actor has also been eating like a champion to get into shape for the role. In fact, he’s been on a diet of eight meals a day and consuming well over 7,000 calories on any given day. Not a bad feat for a 50-year-old with a bit of a limp.

Aside from working in Hollywood, Mark has a knack for creating startups. He’s a co-founder of an apparel line with Harry Arnett and Stephen Levinson. On top of that, he’s a restaurateur, a TV and movie producer and a big time businessman. So, it’s no surprise that he knows a thing or two about getting the best looks for the job.

While it’s not surprising that Mark has been working out for months, it’s not that surprising that he’s been eating for supper. He has been a fan of KFC since his days in the army. In fact, the actor even joked about eating as many as twenty pieces of KFC food a day. It’s probably the reason that he’s been able to shave off a few pounds. As for the hair? Well, it’s not exactly the worst thing that’s happened to him, but it’s certainly not the first thing that comes to mind.

What’s more impressive is that Mark has been taking the most of a finasteride pill for ten years. According to E! News, his personal chef is a big fan of the medication and has incorporated it into the actor’s diet, including in his coffee. This isn’t a bad thing, since a healthy head of hair is definitely a plus when it comes to getting the right looks.

Whether or not the actor has gone all out with the finasteride is up for debate, but he’s sure to reap the rewards. Those in the know, including the actress who played Mark’s wife in the movie, will likely have more fun onscreen. And the actor, who is a bona fide fan of a good buzz cut, will be rewarded for the effort in his upcoming appearance in Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame. If he plays the part well, he could be on his way to a second Oscar nomination.

Mark has been a big timer in the blockbuster department for the better part of his career. Aside from his recent resurgence as a leading man, he’s also been in several other movies. Some of his most memorable appearances include the aforementioned The Fighter, a retooled version of the infamous Terminator and a film starring John Cena and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Of course, the actor has also been seen in the aforementioned The Fate of the Furious and a handful of ad-libbed comedies, such as Big Time Gambler and In My Own Words.
