Mama Imelda Rivera Costume

If you have ever watched Coco, you have probably heard of Imelda Rivera. She is the matriarch of the Rivera family, and her story ties into the film in a few ways. Firstly, she is the matriarch who was responsible for a ban on music in the Rivera family. However, she is also the matriarch who taught her daughter Coco how to make shoes. It is this ability that eventually helped her to turn a shoemaking business into a family business.

Imelda first appears in the opening prologue of the film. Her character is referred to as “mama” and she is married to Hector. Their daughter is named Coco, and Imelda has her own family business of making shoes. Although she is a tough and determined woman, she is still quite tender. At the beginning of the movie, she is a strict and stern woman, but her character starts to change when she meets her family.

Mama Imelda is a tough, but loving matriarch of the Rivera family. She and Triton raise their daughters firmly, and have them follow strict rules. This causes difficulty in the younger members of the family. But she also has a love of music. As a result, she passes this trait on to her granddaughter Elena.

After hearing that Imelda’s husband had been killed, she began a vengeful streak. In order to protect her family, she started a ban on music. This ban, which carries on through the Rivera family to this day, is one of the reasons that Miguel is unable to reach his musical dreams. Despite Imelda’s efforts to make her daughter a good person, she is still unable to forgive her husband for what he did to her and her daughter.

Eventually, though, she is able to put her vengeance aside and reconnect with her family. Initially, she is hesitant to accept her son-in-law’s love for music. But as she begins to regain her passion for the music, she is able to work through her anger and make a deal with him. They share a kiss before she leaves.

Later in the film, Imelda and her family try to locate the photo of Frida Kahlo. The computer they use for the search is able to find the image, but it tells them that no one has put it up yet. Even so, she is unwilling to believe this is true. So, she breaks it down with a boot.

Mama Imelda’s story is a good reminder that we are never too old to change. When we start anew, we can change our lives and our world. One of the main lessons from this film is to not let our family be shattered by our mistakes.

Mama Imelda was the matriarch of the Rivera family and a great example of how to live a life with meaning. She worked hard to create a family business, raise a daughter, and ban music. Ultimately, she passed away in the seventies, and her legacy lives on.
