Louis Turpin, an English artist, specializes in landscapes. He combines bold gestural areas of color with fine, confident lines, and often incorporates gold leaf or other materials to give his works a unique finish. His subjects are carefully observed from the landscape and sheep to human figures in the environment. He paints portraits for private individuals as well as corporate entities and creates a series of paintings on paper with ink.
Louis Turpin served as the District Governor of Rotary District 7210 in New York’s Hudson Valley from 2016 to 2017. He is a Paul Harris Fellow, and a member of the Bequest Society. He is a Rotary Foundation member and was awarded the President’s Volunteer Service Award by President Barack Obama. He is an architect by trade and is married to Julie Turpin who is a professor of business administration in the Fashion Institute of Technology.
