Her ‘Live In Concert’ album has reportedly been remastered and will be released again. The live album may include some tracks from her 2000 studio album as well.
Additionally, the ‘Live in Concert’ album will include a live rendition of her hit song ‘Hallelujah Praise’ as well as two previously unreleased songs on CD.
Burrell has also collaborated with many musicians and songwriters, such as Michael McDonald, Andrae Crouch, Andreeah Crouch, George Clinton and Michelle Williams. Her recordings have been released on various labels and she is often referred to as a ‘diva’ in the gospel music industry.
She has earned several ‘Best Female Vocalist of the Year’ awards and was recognized as one of Rolling Stone Magazine’s ‘Top 25 Women in Rock’ in 2006. In 2011, she performed at a special concert at the White House before appearing on Vanity Fair magazine’s cover wearing an elegant long black gown featuring an elaborate bow.
