Josh Duggar And Anna Duggar

Josh Duggar and Anna Duggar

Josh Duggar and Anna Duggar have forged an incredibly close bond through their marriage, which began in 2006 when they met at a homeschooling convention. Since then, the couple has welcomed six children – a girl and five boys – into their family.

Josh and Anna are expecting their seventh child in April 2021. Through all their trials and tribulations, the former reality stars have managed to maintain their marriage. After being hit with scandals and infidelity, both sought counseling and worked hard to get back on track. Josh even shared their story with TLC but the network decided not to feature it on their series.

Anna’s Family and the Duggars

As a well-known cult, it is not unusual for eldest siblings to face intense scrutiny during their courtship – particularly Josh, the oldest son of Jim Bob and Michelle. This scrutiny extends especially to Anna’s brother Nick as well.

While some of his siblings have publicly stood up for him, others have not. After 19 Kids and Counting ended in 2015, Jill revealed she had been the victim of sexual molestation by her husband.

Anna is said to be struggling with the growing rift between some of her siblings as well as emotional pain while watching her husband serve time in prison. An insider recently told In Touch that Anna may consider moving to Texas so her seven children are closer to their father.

She remains in close contact with her husband, taking their children to visit him regularly; however, she’s come to accept that a future with him is no longer achievable for her.

Anna and her family often get painted in a bad light, but she is an admirable mother who has done her best to safeguard her children from her husband’s criminal actions. After his sentencing, Anna has kept a low profile and hasn’t been active on social media lately.

Anna is said to be unpleased with her siblings’ reaction to the verdict and has indicated to In Touch that she “isn’t ready” to see them in Arkansas for Christmas.

Joshua has been found guilty on two counts of receiving and possessing child pornography, and is serving a 12-and-a-half year sentence at Federal Correctional Institution Seagoville in Texas. This conviction came after he admitted to cheating on his wife with Danielle Dillard.

Though Josh is still serving his sentence, it’s no secret that he’s had a difficult time dealing with the consequences of his crimes. Reports indicate he’s been under considerable stress as he waits for his next trial which is expected to take place later this year.

Last December, Josh was found guilty of these charges and has been in custody ever since. On May 25th he received a 151 month sentence as well as $50,100 in fines.

According to The Sun’s court reporter, Judge Thomas labeled Josh’s crimes as “sickest of sick.”

It is evident that the Duggar family is grieving the devastating impact of their husband’s crimes on their family. We pray that as they navigate this grief, they can focus on healing in the years ahead and find some serenity and contentment in their lives while continuing to show their loved ones love, support and strength.
