Outlaw has found her calling in baking at her Chesapeake bakery Sweet Cravings Bakery where she creates beautiful cakes to amaze and impress customers.
She’s been featured on Shark Tank and her creations have garnered the interest of celebrities like Beyonce. Outlaw’s cakes are not only stunning in appearance but they taste divine as well! We had a chance to chat with Outlaw about her career path and how she got started in baking.
Kimberly spends much of her time designing and creating custom cakes for customers, as well as volunteering her baking services to support children in need. She founded the Twin Cities chapter of For Goodness Cakes–a nationwide organization composed of volunteer bakers who deliver cakes directly to foster children or at-risk youth–by creating For Goodness Cakes’ Twin Cities Chapter.
For Goodness Cakes was first established in California and has since spread to 150 chapters nationwide. Allison Sundquist of Edina and Kim Sabow of Minneapolis discovered it late 2019 and quickly collaborated to form their respective metro area chapters of For Goodness Cakes. These two women cold called all local agencies working with at-risk children offering partnerships through For Goodness Cakes before matching request with bakers who could meet those needs.
Since October 2020, following a pandemic-related pause on many services related to food delivery, over 120 cakes have been delivered with more expected as partner agencies resume service.
