Happy Birthday Julie Cake

Happy Birthday Julie Cake

Birthdays are like a fresh start: they give you the chance to make your dreams a reality. They are truly special days in our lives, and deserve all of the love and happiness they can bring us. So let’s celebrate this momentous occasion by enjoying some delectable cake!

Classic two-layer yellow cake topped with fluffy chocolate frosting and colorful sprinkles is the ideal treat for any birthday celebration.

This simple yet delicious birthday cake recipe is ideal for both kids and adults! Not only is it easy to make, but packed with flavor and vibrant sprinkles!

This buttermilk and brown sugar cake is the perfect complement to its indulgent chocolate frosting. Add some sour cream for an added hint of tartness!

For the cake: Preheat the oven to 350oF. Grease and flour two 8” cake pans lightly, lining their bottoms with rounds of parchment paper before dusting each one lightly with flour.

Mix the batter until smooth, then divide it evenly between prepared pans and bake for 35 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean. Allow cakes to cool in their pans for several minutes before transferring them onto cooling racks to finish cooling completely.

Frost the cake: Once the cakes have cooled, spread one layer with 3/4 cup frosting. Smooth out the top using an offset spatula and repeat with remaining layers. Create swirls using an offset spatula for a decorative touch and sprinkle on some gold sprinkles to finish.

Trim the Edges of the Cake: Once the cakes have cooled, trim any sharp corners to prevent frosting from dripping off and creating a mess. Additionally, if your cake is especially long or tall, consider trimming some of its sides for aesthetic purposes.

Add food coloring to 1/4 cup of vanilla frosting, then pipe an outline on top edge with it.

Roll out the fruit chews and cut out two feet shapes (about 5” long). Arrange these on the lower left of the cake, next to each other. Snip 2 jellybeans in half crosswise to form small toes as pictured above, and press them into place.

Decorate the top of the cake: Once all cakes have whipped cream on them, top them off with fresh berries. Slice them if necessary and then cover the top with more whipped cream.

Celebrate Your Special Occasion with a Birthday Candle: After topping with an abundant layer of whipped cream, insert a candle. Finally, drizzle some more of the whipped cream onto each slice for extra dimension and visual interest.

Once the cake has cooled, serve it on a serving platter. Drizzle with some salted caramel to enhance the flavors of the cake and decorate with fresh figs, blackberries and blueberries at the top for an eye-catching presentation.
