Angelil thought about a career as a lawyer in her early years. However, he became a music producer after Celine Dion sent him a demo tape. The two became friends and eventually, he became her manager. In 1974, Angelil married Anne Renee, a prominent Canadian pop singer. The couple had two children together. A decade later, they separated. He has a successful career in business, owns several restaurants in Montreal and manages Schwartz’s Deli.
Celine Dion was twelve years old when the couple met for the first time. Rene Angelil gave Celine’s mother a demo tape and they worked together.
