Police have identified Britney Herron, 23, of Franklin, and Fletcher Cleaves (25), as the two victims in the fatal car crash in Memphis, Tennessee. Both drivers were driving a Chevy Truck Tahoe. Authorities say there were no signs of impairment at the time of the crash, but they are still gathering evidence to determine the cause of the accident.

The crash occurred in an area known as Sycamore, near Interstate 40. The chain reaction of collisions began when the first vehicle collided with another vehicle from behind. After the first collision, another vehicle hit the Ford Fusion, and the second struck the broken down Honda Accord. The third vehicle struck the Accord head-on, and the fourth vehicle sideswiped the Impala. Three people were killed in the accident.

The second driver was also declared dead at the scene. According to police, the driver of the vehicle wasn’t at fault and she was hit from behind by the driver. The two drivers were not wearing seat belts. Both drivers were cited for speeding. The Hyundai Elantra driver was driving erratically, and lost control of his vehicle.
