High fashion has never had a more influential designer than Donatella Versace. Her younger sister of late Gianni Versace is still creating pieces with baroque embellishments and vibrant prints, inspiring celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Big Sean and Nicki Minaj to don her signature looks.

Nicki Minaj donned a custom look from Versace for her performance at H&M’s much-talked-about collaboration with the Italian label. The silvery-hued Atelier Versace gown featured extensive beading, making it an elegant representation of the star’s dedication to signature style.
Minaj’s performance was an acclaimed success and she also went on to win the award for best hip-hop album. During her acceptance speech, she gave a special mention to Donatella Versace for creating her custom dress and even made fun of Michael B. Jordan in an amusing moment.
She used her time on stage to promote both her new MAC lipstick collection and Viva Glam line, both available for sale at the event. She especially praised her pink Friday collection featuring popular shades like “Super Bass” and “Roman’s Revenge”.

Minaj has only been in the public spotlight for two years, yet she already boasts an impressive list of accolades to her name. She’s twice a winner at MTV Video Music Awards and most recently took home “Best Female Artist of 2018” at People’s Choice Awards.
Her MAC lipstick collection and Viva Glam nail polish line have been huge successes, so now she has her sights set on creating her own clothing and fragrance brands. She recently launched the Versace clothing line and plans to release a MAC and OPI lip gloss set soon.
