Does Mandy Moore Have a Lisp?
In the world of movies and television, it’s difficult to ignore Mandy Moore, especially after the NBC hit series This Is Us debuted in October. Her character Rebecca Pearson is a teen, adult and elderly woman who grapples with the death of her husband and the subsequent loss of her mother.
Although Mandy Moore has been a pop star in the early 2000s, she has only recently found success in the mainstream arena. She has appeared in films and television programs such as Saved!, A Walk to Remember, Chasing Liberty and the upcoming Darkest Minds. After her breakout performance in the Disney animated film Tangled, she’s returned to voice the role of Rapunzel in the sequel.
Not only has she made the news, but she’s also had a storied career, having appeared in films like the Princess Diaries, The Princess and the Frog and Red Band Society. As a singer, she’s released two studio albums and has a third in the works. Her music has earned her the aforementioned award for best female artist.
But what about her personal life? Although she’s been linked to several celebrities, including Demi Moore and Ryan Adams, her social life is relatively low-key. Since she doesn’t show much enthusiasm for high-profile relationships, she keeps her romance on the down-low. However, she’s been in a relationship with Dawes front man Taylor Goldsmith since 2009, and they got hitched in November. They also had their first child in February of 2021.
The most impressive thing about Moore is her ability to be part of some of the biggest projects out there. In addition to This Is Us, she has a starring role in the film Tangled, which has become a box office sensation. Its success also helped her earn a nomination for best actress at the Golden Globe Awards.
There are some big projects coming in the near future, and she’s already got the best of them. One of them, the upcoming Darkest Minds, is based on the Alexandra Bracken trilogy. If the hype is true, it’ll be a major winner.
The same can be said for the Tangled movie, which has a production budget of $260 million. While the movie has received mixed reviews, it’s got the Disney name on it. Additionally, the company’s newest film, Disney’s Magic Kingdom, is expected to make its grand entrance in 2018.
Although it’s unclear whether or not Moore has a lisp, her acting skills and good looks have earned her a number of accolades. Among the most notable is her nomination for a Hollywood Walk of Fame star. Other honors include a number of Emmy awards and a Golden Globe. That’s not to mention her other tidbits. And for all her achievements, she has one huge flaw.
That being said, her role as a princess in Disney’s Tangled may be her crowning achievement. Though she’s still in her early twenties, she’s already achieved more than most women her age.
