Cape Cod News – Car Accident Today

On Tuesday morning, a car struck a utility pole in Centerville. The road was closed in both directions. The accident involved a 22-year-old Fall River resident, and the driver was taken to a hospital where he was being treated for serious injuries. The accident caused the pole to snap, and Eversource was called to the scene to take care of the situation. As a result, Queen Anne Road was closed in both directions between Katie’s Pond Lane and Penobscot Way. It was not clear how long the road will be closed.

The crash involved several vehicles, and the area around the accident has been cleared of trees. One truck was reportedly operating a cement mixer, and another was a cab company minivan. Several ambulances responded to the scene. The Route 6 eastbound lane was reopened around 3:00 p.m., but drivers were warned to expect delays.
