Bruce Lee Jordan 1

The Nike Kobe V ‘Bruce Lee’ Pays Tribute to the Late Martial Artist

The Nike Kobe V ‘Bruce Lee’ pays tribute to the late martial artist. This model features a yellow upper and blood red detailing. This shoe was inspired by Bruce Lee’s final film ‘Enter the Dragon’. There is also an all-black sole. It is expected to be released in November 2020. More information is still scarce. You can find more info and pre-orders by following @kicksfinder on Twitter.

The first Air Jordan was released in 1985. It was the first shoe to not feature the Swoosh logo. The design of the shoe sparked a trend in basketball footwear. The toe cap had a molded heel tab and a clean toe box. These designs made for a better fit.

Tinker Hatfield was the designer for this model. He added patent leather to the shoes. Some features of the shoe included a full length Air-Sole unit, a padded tongue, and an asymmetrical collar. In addition, there were reflective accents on the nubuck area of the shoe.

As with previous models, there were several color options available. The first was the Grape Purple/Emerald colorway. This color combination was the first to be used on a basketball shoe.

Another cool feature of the Air Jordan XVI was the magnetic fastening cover. This design kept the foot in place during hard breaks. Other features of the shoe included a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) heel stabilizer, variable-width lacing, a dynamic-fit sleeve, and a one-pull lacing system.

In 2001, Michael Jordan won his third NBA title with the Chicago Bulls. During the playoffs, MJ wore the Air Jordan XII. While he was wearing these shoes, he was named an All-Star and All-NBA First Team player. Despite being on the losing end of a conference finals match against Detroit, the Bulls were on the verge of something special.

The Air Jordan XXXIV featured a new technology called the Jordan Eclipse Plate. Similar to the Flight Speed Plate found on the FlightSpeed XXX, the Eclipse Plate is a lightweight foam that keeps your foot in place while allowing for the smooth transition from midfoot to forefoot. However, the AJ XXX was the last Air Jordan to have a covered lacing system.

The asymmetrical collar on the Air Jordan XXXIII blended mobility and support. In addition to the asymmetrical collar, the shoe also had a shroud. Like the asymmetrical collar, the shroud was a big step in the right direction.

Aside from the asymmetrical collar, the asymmetrical toe box is another ‘wow’ factor. Unlike other Air Jordans, the toe box was a full three inches in height. This provided a higher cut than other models, but still allowed for mobility.

While the Nike Kobe V ‘Bruce Lee’ does not yet have an official release date, you can check out some photos of the shoe on Twitter. In the meantime, you can shop for the shoe at Sneaker District. Until then, you can buy the Nike Dunk Hi Retro “Bruce Lee” in beige or gray.
