Animal Planet and Burger King Get Eco-Friendly

Animal Planet has been around for a while, but their latest collaboration with Burger King exemplifies the latest trends in animal conservation. While the burger empire has been expanding their vegan offerings, they are also taking a hard look at the chicken and egg. The two have announced a few noteworthy new initiatives including a new plant-based menu and a plant-based Whopper.

Animal Planet and Burger King have teamed up to produce a number of cool animal-related innovations, from the above mentioned aforementioned plant-based menu to a new ad campaign in the form of the aptly named Earthling Experience. Additionally, the company has been tasked with developing a cutting-edge digital activation that would get the kids excited about the animal kingdom. These efforts are slated to kick off in London’s Leicester Square next week.

Aside from the actual food, Burger King has a few other animal friendly initiatives in the works, from a redesign of their flagship store to the launch of their aptly named Plant-based Whopper. The company is also on the prowl for more innovative ideas. They recently released a new, egg-free vegan nugget called the Vegan Royale. In addition, they have committed to improving the welfare of their chickens in the US.

Not to mention, the chain has a few other interesting initiatives in the works, such as the creation of an eco-friendly paper-based playset and a new digital platform for the company’s flagship product. Whether you’re a dedicated vegan or simply interested in reducing your carbon footprint, this is an event you won’t want to miss. You can find the aforementioned paper premiums at participating restaurants starting October 18, while the aforementioned ad campaign will be rolled out across the entire network over the next couple of months. To celebrate the occasion, the company is offering customers the chance to participate in a gamification scheme. Upon completion, you’ll receive 3 collectable cards. Of course, you’ll need to get the gang together for the big reveal.

On top of the above mentioned aforementioned initiatives, the company has also made an effort to go meat-free for a month. During this time, the chain will only serve up vegan versions of some of its most popular items. For example, the company will add 15 new items to their animal-free menu, with the notable ones being the vegan Whopper, vegan nuggets and the vegan royale.
